“You can tell your family and your doula to be quiet, but I’m your nurse. I’m going to tell you what to do and you have to listen. You don’t know what you’re doing, you have to listen to me if you want to get this baby out.” -L&D Nurse to patient who asked if the people in the room could be quiet.

“Really, a cesarean, for not having a prenatal vaginal exam?” asked the mother.
