“I’m more tired than you are.” -L&D Nurse, waking up mother at 5:00am to draw blood.  The mother had just drifted off to sleep after being awake for three days, had a 2nd trimester loss, lost half her blood volume, had emergency surgery and a blood transfusion and then was kept awake all night by a hospital roommate who would not stop talking.
