Thoughtful Thursday! “Happy Birthday To You…”
“Happy birthday to you…happy birthday to you…happy birthday to baby, happy birthday to you” – OB sang softly to baby as baby was being born and placed softly it’s mother’s chest.
I teared up! How sweet!

That is so sweet!
You know sometimes in the comments I say with horror, “That sounds like something the doctor says to every single patient”? Well, this also sounds like something the doctor says to every single patient, and it shows this doctor’s awe and reverence for the moment of birth and the mother and the baby.
Doctor, we love you!

Awww! Now *that* is an appropriate way to say hello! Very, very sweet!

How sweet! The hospital in which my son was born played a lullabye over the PA system whenever a new baby was born. I liked that.

The hospital my oldest was born at (Naval hospital, Marine base) sounded two bells and announced the gender and parent’s branch of service every time a baby was born. “Baby boy, USMC!” It was the same signal they use to let everyone know a general or admiral was arriving.

Absolutely lovely! I so wish all OBs were like this…
My one shining moment in a terrible repeat c-section was when my OB greeted my son by name (she had asked what our chosen names were) and welcomed him to the world.
