“Does She Always Worry Like This?!”
“Does she always worry like this?!” – OB to husband, when the mother was asking for more information about the measurements of the baby during a prenatal appointment.
Dad, “Please direct all questions to your patient, especially since she is the one asking you something.”

This is mine from the same lady who told me to call only if I pass clots or my baby.
The appointment before (the midwife I switched from who told me I can’t give birth at the hospital if I go past 42 weeks), I was measuring a month ahead… 20 weeks at only 16 weeks pregnant.
This doctor however, saw me two weeks after at 18 weeks and then at my 20 week after my anatomy scan and told me she refused to check fundal height since baby is growing great at the scans.
I told her I was just curious because I measured a whole month ahead at 16 weeks when she looked at my husband and asked him that. Unfortunately he was too preoccupied with our daughter to have a witty comeback, but did give her a horrible look.

It’s a 2 minute check, it’s really that much trouble for her? I bet she dosen’t know how to do it properly

The fundal height check is always part of standard prenatal care.
Honestly, the more you tell us about this doctor, she sounds overscheduled, and she’s just trying to get in and out of every appointment in three minutes flat. :-b I hope you do get in with the other practice.

Oh, how many ways can you go wrong in one question?! One of my biggest pet peeves are people that confuse wanting to be educate with worrying. There is a big difference, ya’ll!
And don’t even get me started on the fact that this doctor decided to talk to the husband with the Mom right there.

Ooh, question-shaming! If you don’t feel like spending two minutes answering questions, try to shame her as a worry-wort!
I hope the husband answered with, “No, and she’s not worried now. And you didn’t answer her question, so please, explain those measurements as she asked.”
