“Wow, you did great! That was even faster than Jimmy John’s!” – OB to mother after a 2.5 hour labor and 2 pushes.

Not the OP, but for people not fortunate enough to have a local Jimmy John’s, their tagline is “Subs so fast you’ll freak!”
I laughed so hard at this contribution. This is a great example of humor that is used appropriately.

This was my OB with both of my unmedicated vaginal deliveries and she was fabulous. She didn’t interfere with anything and said multiple times “Your body knows what it’s doing, so I’ll just let you do your thing. If you need me, then I’ll step in.” LOVED her!
