“As Soon As You Get Your Positive Pregnancy Test…We Will Schedule A Repeat Cesarean…”
“As soon as you get your positive pregnancy test, come in and we will schedule a repeat cesarean section for 38 weeks.” – OB/Gyn while removing an IUD for a mother planning another child and hoping to VBAC.
This is mine as well, same Dr. as the emergency c-section and vaginal preservation club. This is the last from him though, because after this comment I quickly started looking for another Dr.. Also, he had said that I could possibly VBAC at my 6 weeks checkup after the c-section. A year later I guess he changed his tune. I didn’t trust him anymore anyway.

Forgot to add that I had infertility trying to conceive my first child, so I thought the “as soon as you get a positive pregnancy test” comment was a bit insensitive. It took two years from getting the IUD out to conceive again. Even knowing my history, he thought it would just happen in a couple of months.

It sounds as if the doctor didn’t really pay attention to YOU at all. The doctor told you one thing at the six week appt and one thing at this appointment. The doctor didn’t seem to know your infertility history. The doctor probably glanced at the notes, saw IUD removal on the schedule and briefly saw c-section on the overview at the front of the chart, then walked in to the appointment.
And therefore this doctor would never notice you’re not coming back, either. *sigh*

I would have gladly taken them
a week stuck in the hospital on bedrest because at 34 weeks I ruptured (small leak) then due to the “chance” that I might get an infection they induced me… I was very lucky that the baby did not go in to distress because the amount of pit they were giving me… it was crazy… (the girl they induced the day before me ended up with a CS because of distress) then I spent a week with the baby in the special care nursery because he was so early… wish I had known more then and known that I could have stood up for myself and said everything is fine no inducing me…
when they induced me I went from them sticking the pit in at 5 upping it every 30 min … (doubling it) ended at 35… baby in under 4 hours… made me terrified to have a second
