Fantastic! I felt pushy with both my kids before transition and my midwives encouraged me to push whenever I felt like it. I recently read an essay/article somewhere that contended that pushing can help open the cervix, but only when mother-directed.

This should pretty much be standard operating procedure. Mom does her thing, and they help only as needed. What a lovely concept.
