Thoughtful Thursday! “…She Can Do This! She’s Doing Amazing!”
“NO! She can do this! She’s doing amazing.” – OB to nurse who repeatedly stated that she would go tell the OR team to get ready for a cesarean.

Apparently the nurse had just transferred to the hospital I was delivering at from one in the next town with a 35% c section rate. The one I was delivering at had a 13% rate :3
My OB believes that most women are able to birth without any intervention and the nurse wasn’t used to that mentality.

I guess she was doing it in a roundabout way. “Shouldn’t we do a c-section? How about now? I’ll just go and let them now we’ll be coming.” etc.
