“Sure. I am here to advise my patients, not boss them around.” – OB to mother who asked if the OB would be able to provide back up support for the midwives supporting her home birth.

Mindie, I’m glad you had an OB who understood his job – to help you through the process of birth (should you so choose) but not to manhandle you.

But why do two people NOT like this? Would they prefer the obs to boss people around?

Though I wish they could/would as many people seem to be confused by it.

I can’t imagine any of the OBs I’ve ever seen saying something like this. Blows the mind. OP- you’re so fortunate, that is awesome!
