“Oh, we can wait. Labor goes better when it starts on its own.” – OB to mother at 41w3d when mother shared she did not want an induction.

This was mine, yay! This doc was absolutely fabulous and supportive right up until the baby was born, when she cut the cord before it had stopped pulsing and then lied to me about it, and then used traction on the umbilical cord when I’d asked her not to. I guess nobody’s perfect?

but at least she respected some wishes. Wish my OB felt this way about induction….
