What planet is this OB on? Why can’t doctors just give proper medical advice (as in, do their jobs) and let this woman know her body will alert her when it’s time to give birth and what to do should she have a precipitous labor and can’t make it to the hospital in time? Is that so hard?

Everything is off of the FDA or ACOG websites, all of the information for pitocin, cervadil, episiotomes, VBAC, birth positions, CFM… everything, with all of the relevant information to my specific situation highlighted and/or bolded, all in a tabbed folder. Yes, I really am that Type-A, but honestly, if they can’t take the time to gain proficiency in something they supposedly DO for a LIVING, I’d rather go in with guns blazing than let them try to baffle me with bullsh*t.

Only thing I can think of was maybe doctor had previously advized bedrest or lots of sitting. And was trying to tell mom if you’re sitting then the tailbone, butt, is in the way of baby decending…but then, that would require knowledge that walking and getting off your butt/back is helpful in labor, and since this is an OB the chances of that is pretty small!
