I had a nurse say this to me, too! I literally didn’t know I was in labor, which I guess is why I made it look easy. I was at 7cm when I was admitted, and walking and talking like normal. They kept telling me that I was “amazing.” They were great, actually. A really nice, young staff.

My first doula client had all the nurses fooled into thinking that she wasn’t in labor because she was able to smile and talk through her active labor contractions, so she got to eat as much as she wanted throughout labor and no one thought anything of it. 
She was a trooper!

Way late but this was my nurse. After the birth she said how touched she was and told me it was an honor to be there. She brought “my husband” food when it was against hospital policy for me to eat. And she held off Dr. Pushy pushing an IV on me for hours. She was an angel. I wish everybody could have a nurse like her.
