Thoughtful Thursday! “…You Just Did Something Amazing For You And Your Baby…”
“So, I hear you gave birth to an almost 10 pound baby without any medications. You just did something amazing for you and your baby! Now do you need any help breastfeeding?” -L&D Nurse
If I were promised that my birth would be attended by this nurse and the OB in today’s earlier post, I wouldn’t mind giving birth in a hospital.

Mine was 9lbs 12 oz when he was born. And he would’ve weighed more but he pooped on the way out. Lol.And I did it drug free as well. One Nurse was really nice and said something similar to me. It was nice to hear, especially after the mean nurse I had previously.

I delivered a 9lb 13oz baby totally natural with tons of support from my O.B. and staff at St. Vincents Carmel (Indiana). They are very natural childbirth friendly and actually recommend it and will tell you that breast is best. It was an awesome delivery and they even recommended that baby be skin to skin even while my husband was clipping the cord. Our little one was breast feeding while I delivered the afterbirth. I didn’t even have to push since the baby’s nursing signaled my uterus to close down and push out the placenta. The nursing staff was very supportive and did all APGARs and toweled baby off while I was feeding him. They waited until baby, Mom and Dad had at least an hours bonding time before bathing and measuring. My other two children were even able to assist with babies first bath right. in the delivery room. I highly recommend them
