“I like when people are willing to wait after their due date. It is just an estimate, after all. You bake them longer.” -OB to mother who birthed her baby a week past her due date.

Love it! Both my kids were 2 full weeks past their EDDs – and both were estimated at 38 weeks gestation at birth. I’m positive of my dates. I love it when doctors understand that some babies just need a little longer!

This was after my second son’s birth. He was born 40w6d, his brother 40w5d. Same doctor delivered both boys, and she has always been extremely supportive of all of my decisions.
