Thoughtful Thursday! “You’re Just Awesome!”
“You’re just awesome!!” -L&D Staff during mother’s first labor (having a VBAC.)
The OB and nurses were amazingly sweet and supportive.
Dislike these words.

Awesome job Lauren! Yay for you and VBACs!
Hopefully each nurse that is able to witness births like this will be able to be more supportive of the next mom who wants one.

If she was having a VBAC, how was it her first labor?

This was me during my VBAC this past October. And yes, with my first baby I was bullied/lied to into having a C-section without being in labor first.
But this experience was such a 180! They were so kind to me. I walked in at 5 cm after 4 days of laboring at home, and was scared to death of being treated like crap again. But now I look forward to future VBACs, even if I make the decision to go to a hospital in labor again.

I had a C with my first pregnacy which was twins.I didn’t have any labor at all with them. Then I went on to have 5 VBACs, 3 born at home! Women’s bodies are capable of amazing things, especially when we get the encouragement we need!
