“Labor Ward Should Be Called Constipation Ward…”
“Labor ward should be called constipation ward…nothing is moving.” -OB on rounds
(sent in from OB student in Australia, and called the OB the registrar, so I hope it is “translated” right.)
LOL! Doctors can be sssooooo wrong!
p.s Registrar is a student doctor, although working in the hospital with minimal supervison. I think they do 12months as a reg.

hi!! just for information purposes
in aus. (possibly elsewhere but definately here in australia) Registrars are in the process of training in a particular speciality (such as obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics or anaesthetics) and they will often be referred to by their speciality. ie. an ‘obstetric registrar’ ‘Junior registrars’ are usually in their first couple of years of training and ‘senior registrars’ are in their final couple of years of training, just before qualifying.

sorry, just another 2 cents, registrars must have been working as a resident or general practitioner for at least two years prior to training and study for 4-7 years depending on their chosen field

But when they can’t tell where it’s coming from it’s hard to tell.

That’s why it’s important to use the toilet in the lithotomy position.

Thank you. It’ll look lovely on the wall next to my vaginal birth medal and my contraction credit certificates!
