I wish somebody had said this to me. More care providers need to say positive things to mothers.

Instead, I got the frown and “…Oh” when I was asked if I ever wanted to have children. I felt like calling up my ex-doctor and bragging after giving birth to a baby with a 15″ head with a nuchal hand vaginally.

LOVE IT!!! That makes me so happy! So many providers forget that our bodies are made specifically for giving birth and we can do seemingly amazing things when we’re allowed.

Like! I am 5ft2in and grow big babies, I wish I had chosen a care provider that had confidence in me.

I was the story awhile back (Dec?) where I had a provider tell me that if he hadn’t known I had birthed two children vaginally, he would have recommended a c-section due to my “small frame.”

Wouldn’t you know…I birthed a 9lb6ers in under 3 hours just fine thankyouverymuch

how do they think babies come out in countries like Mexico or Guatemala where esp indigenous women are quite short and mostly they grow babies just right for their bodies!

my midwife also said something similar to me before and after the birth of my 8lb3oz son, (i’m only 5ft). the OB who did my previous section said the only chance I’d ever have at a vbac would be with a preemie, and that would be a maybe.

definately need more providers out there like this one.

God how fantastic.

I am 5′ and about 100 lbs. My children were 10 lbs and 8 lbs 13 oz. I had them naturally, without tearing as well. I don’t think size has much to do with it.

I love this!! More care providers (doc/midwife) need to be this encouraging!! Cause if you do your research our woman bodies are made to birth 12 pound babies
