“Well, What Do You Want To Do?”
Ok see Im thinking that with the amt of info here that we have we cant view this as negative at all. It says it was an unneccary induction…….ok there are PLEANTY of women out there who schedule their births for their planning ease, she coulda just meant that, we dont know. This statement is also the kind that you see on the rest of the site as people hoping their doctors will say. This doctor was asking how his patient wanted to proceed. That is wonderful! we have no background at all as to how she got where she was so we cannot at all judge that she was being induced. And frankly its not like they tie you down and force you to be induced. She had already made that decision. so I vote for like for these words

I agree with PP who asked why this is a bad thing, that the doc actually asked the mother what she wanted to do. How on earth can that be a bad thing?
Of course, my answer in that situation would also be, “go home and never return unless there is a real medical emergency, and have my labor and birth naturally with a real midwife?”

I was induced on my due date. The man who delivered my son broke my water and then fourteen hours later told me that i needed a csection. I wish i had had an opinion in all this.. My son was my first and i don’t believe i will ever let myself feel that helpless again.

Oh for Pete’s Sake, NOW they ask?
Did she want the induction in the first place?
