“Just calling to check and see how you’re processing all this?”- midwife calling mother at home in the evening, after the mother had found out earlier that day at her 20 week ultrasound that she was carrying twins.  The midwife had already spent the better part of the day with her, helping her to wrap her brain around it.
The twins were born successfully at home in May of 2008 at 39 weeks gestation.
