“You Know…She Doesn’t Look That Bad.”
“You know…, she doesn’t look that bad” -OB to mother in regards to a known medical condition where everyone was expecting the baby to look worse than she did.

Oy. The OB we saw after my daughter was diagnosed with anencephaly told me, “You know, these babies look pretty hideous.”
(And that’s NOT the comment of hers I submitted to this site, btw. She came up with better ones than that.)
