“You’ll Always Have To Have A Cesarean Now!”
“You’ll always have to have a cesarean now.” -OB after an induced birth where mother vaginally delivered one twin and was rushed off for an “emergency” cesarean with the other because the OB panicked.
What were the circumstances to cause the OB to panic? Just the fact that it was twins and twins are usually (unnecessarily) delivered via c-section?
I guess we know how that OB feels about VBAC. Find another OB (better yet, a midwife) for the next baby!

If the c-section was rushed, the OB may have cut a vertical incision or a T-shaped incision, which would increase the risk for VBAC significantly.

Well, my thinking is that if this quote is on this website, its because it was not said for a good reason, but rather the OB was being ignorant or just mean.
I bet soon OBs who are against VBAC will purposely do vertical or T-shaped incisions so women dont even have the option of VBAC. I seriously wouldn’t put it past some of these twisted people.

I delivered one twin vaginally, and the OB walked out of the room after waiting about 2 minutes for the other twin saying call her when he was coming. About 20 minutes later he still wasn’t born, and she came back in and did an ultrasound and announced that he flipped head up. The nurse told her he wasn’t, she had his heartbeat low and she was certain he was head down. The OB said he wasn’t and had to do a c-section. She cut the c-section, and then delivered him head down — she said she flipped him in utero before delivering, has anyone even heard of this? And then she told me based on the incision she did, I would have to deliver cesearan from here on out. So I feel for this mama
Lazy OB’s make me mad.

You know, I mentioned that to my husband, and he said you ought to get a copy of that ultrasound. You could prove that she was lying. I’m pretty sure there has to be a recording of it, or else she couldn’t prove that she actually did one.

that post is my story – the OB started to push and pull at me within minutes of birthing my daughter, to try and turn my transverse breech son, whose membranes were intact and who was in no distress at all.
i homebirthed my younger daughter, all eight and a half pounds of her, three years and nine months later.
