“…Textbook Cases Are Never Textbook…”
“You are young, you’re fit, you’re healthy. Textbook cases are never textbook. You will end up with a cesarean.” -OB
Wait, so why are they called textbook cases?!
I heard a great line once, that doctors only diagnose normal labor after the fact. Meaning, they always assume the worst until nothing bad happens.
Like those towing companies who are hoping for a crash, because it keeps them in business. Why do we hire these goons in the first place??

So… being healthy with no apparent risk factors means you should schedule a surgical birth as soon as the test strip turns pink. And having any risk factors at all means you must schedule a surgical birth (whether the risk factors actually make vaginal birth impossible or not).
How the heck does ANYONE ever manage to give birth without surgery?! Probably not many do under the care of this quack.

Ugh. I saw something similar on one of those TV birth shows…an OB telling the camera that working with laboring women is like a disaster waiting to happen, that he always expects the worst in every situation. I hope his patients saw that and RAN FOR THE HILLS.

Sooo…I guess this means that my textbook pregnancy ended up with a textbook homebirth C/S?? I dont remember this. In fact, the scar healed so well that I DONT HAVE ONE!
Phht, stupid doctors and their stupid surgical training, making mountains out of molehills.
