I had a tongue tied one too and it was hell until he was clipped I got NO help from the hospital LC and one kind older nurse is what got me through it!

I think breastfeeding a tongue tied newborn over a cesarean incision with cracked and bleeding nipples qualifies you as being serious about breastfeeding. I know, because I did just that. I hope the mom in this story was able to find an LC that was actually serious about helping mothers to breastfeed.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner. You nailed it Kristen. What we need is more LCs who are SERIOUS about providing real help to women who are struggling and exhausted and confused. Not more people blaming the mother for problems she didn’t ask for or cause.
