I had Cervidil – it kinda does feel like your uterus is blowing up.
Also, a friend of mine who had it – it actually corroded her cervix so badly that she bled for around 9 weeks after the birth!
This is not a friendly drug.

she was being very honest. cervadril is one of the only drugs that poses a very real possibility of uterin rupture for a woman with an unscared uterus (nearly unheard of even with pit inductions). this drug is truly horrific.

Are you thinking of cytotec? Cervadil is a prostaglandin gel in a little pouch not unlike a small tampon. Cytotec is the drug in pill form that (in its off label use on pregnant moms) poses a greater risk of uterine rupture.
