“Well, Those Don’t Count…”
“Well those don’t count because you didn’t call us or write them down” – Postpartum Lactation Nurse to mother, insisting her newborn needed to be supplemented after allegedly not having any wet or soiled diapers since birth, even though the mother responded she had been changing soiled diapers all day.
So… you can only believe the mother’s recollection of diapers if she calls the nurse the second it happens? This goes right up there with the top ten ridiculous reasons I have heard to force a breastfeeding mom to give formula.

With baby #1
day one I got that response… no wet nappies unless they knew about it.
Day 2, I dinged every time something happened until they got the hint. I was believed after that. I was also treated as the ignorant little girl who could not do anything on her own >:(
