To L&D nurse-
Yes, I was induced at 40w 6d for being “overdue”. before induction I was a “fingertip” dilated, and barely effaced. Needless to say I learned my lesson and just 5 months ago went on to have an amazing VBAC AT HOME with baby #2!

That’s why we tell our patients, especially NCB to labor at home as long as they can. We make sure you change your cervix in 2 hours before we automatically admit a patient. But who knows this patient may have been an induction who started with a closed cervix or water broke and not in labor.
