“It Cannot Be Twins…”

“It cannot be twins as you did not do fertility treatments.” -OB to mom at 15 week appointment after mom was measuring large and told OB she suspected twins. PS: Twins!

It…*cannot* be twins? As in…there was no such thing as multiples before the advent of fertility treatments? As in…some people didn’t pay attention during seventh grade health class, let alone medical school?

So…my cousins, who were conceived naturally and born in 1983, don’t exist? And their dad, also a twin, who was born in 1950, he doesn’t exist, either? Dang.
