Um, with my first it was 42.5 hours. The OB said later that he was afraid that I was going to need a CS. I just kept wondering where he was during the 4 hours I spent pushing and nothing happened.

Gosh, I would have hated to be under the care of that OB. I had a 22 hour labor with my son that eventually ended with a healthy 8lb 8oz baby, a drug-free birth and no stiches! Babies come when they want to . . .not according to the time clock of some doctor.

With my first VBAC they gave up on me after only 8 hours, telling me I was “incapable” of giving birth. (My c-section was for supposed FTP and CPD.) My son was born as soon as they left the room to get the OR ready.

Whoa!!! I sure am thankful I wasn’t in the hosp when I had my first! I had a 25 hr labor, & a waterbirth. My dr sure wasn’t happy that I had her at home, but I’m almost positive that she would’ve demanded a c/s.

Oh gosh, my first took 19 hours. My daughter must have been in some weirdo position huh? Lol.

That is unbelievable! Thank GOD I had my first at home with some unbelievably patient midwives…I’d hate to know what this OB would have thought of my 30 hour labor.
