But, many more have been born safely…thanks to PUSHING. Besides, a skilled practitioner can intermittently assess baby’s heart rate with a handheld doppler.

What I am sure they meant is when pushing, it can cause cord compression and they need to make sure the baby’s heart rate is steady. many babies have dies DURING delivery because of this.
